I Was Like Um...

The VMAs. Nothing much to say. It was a womp womp. I knew I shoulda just watched True Blood. Anyway, Janet did what she needed to do for her brother, Kanye is an asshole as per usual (why is er'body shocked and rupauled...cuz he stole the mic from a lil country singer & told da truth...he's done this before. Let us not forget this is the man that cried and thru a hissy fit on stage when he didn't win awards he felt he deserved and told the world that George Bush doesn't care about black people. Since when has Kanye not said what he wanted, when he wanted?), Beyonce is the epitome of hotness and class, and Lil Mama's diagonal was off...the mental ward is callin lil girl.

Anyhooo, while there wasn't a damn thing good about the VMAs, I was totally entranced by this press conference after the Buffalo Bills game....this prolly shouldn't be funny as this dude might really have a SERIOUS medical situation that makes him stutter and/or just get really, really, nervous but I was like um.....

Heehee....wooo wooo my man....next time just breathe and relax.

Beyonce: Broken-Hearted Girl

Um, could Yonce be runnin out of ideas for her videos? Another bore.

She had an opportunity to redo "Ego" and make it dope with the video for the remix feat. Kanye. But um, she just added him into the same boring video. There are so many things she could do with the song visually. Kanye definitely could have done more than snap his fingers, stand there, then hit a spotlight and I really don't get why we have to stick with the leotards and three bitch choreography. Isn't the point of a remix to well um, remix?

PREACH KANYE!!!

(This spaz comes courtesy of losers making fake Kanye West Twitter accounts) I DON'T HAVE A FUCKING TWITTER... WHY WOULD I USE TWITTER??? I ONLY BLOG 5 PERCENT OF WHAT I'M UP TO IN THE FIRST PLACE. I'M ACTUALLY SLOW DELIVERING CONTENT BECAUSE I'M TOO BUSY ACTUALLY BUSY BEING CREATIVE MOST OF THE TIME AND IF I'M NOT AND I'M JUST LAYING ON A BEACH I WOULDN'T TELL THE WORLD. EVERYTHING THAT TWITTER OFFERS I NEED LESS OF. THE PEOPLE AT TWITTER KNOW I DON'T HAVE A FUCKING TWITTER SO FOR THEM TO ALLOW SOMEONE TO POSE AS ME AND ACCUMULATE OVER A MILLION NAMES IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND DECEITFUL TO THERE FAITHFUL USERS. REPEAT... THE HEADS OF TWITTER KNEW I DIDN'T HAVE A TWITTER AND THEY HAVE TO KNOW WHICH ACCOUNTS HAVE HIGH ACTIVITY ON THEM. IT'S A FUCKING FARCE AND IT MAKES ME QUESTION WHAT OTHER SO CALLED CELEBRITY TWITTERS ARE ACTUALLY REAL OR FAKE. HEY TWITTER, TAKE THE SO CALLED KANYE WEST TWITTER DOWN NOW .... WHY? ... BECAUSE MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS LOUD!!!!!!!!!

You got that people? He don't need to tell the world his bizness...unless it is regardin buyin his muziq, or his sneakers or sumtin like that but it don't matter, Kanye doesn't fuckin Twitter.

Kanye The Gay Fish!

South Park did a lil parody of Kanye West and called him a gay fish. I mean, I giggled but I didn't think it was hilarious. The gay fish looks just like him and he ends up wipin down the biggest hottest fish in the sea yes, but I don't think this caricature was worth Kanye having hurt feelings. Kanye's feelings were hurt by the South Park people and because of this video has decided to turn his life around and become a nicer person and not continue to talk about how dope he is....rather just let the dopeness speak for it's self.

I think it is great that Kanye is now motivated to become a better man BUT I have to wonder why now, why this particular parody got him feelin such a kind of way. I mean how many times has Kanye been called gay or have people askin bout his sexual preference? Who cares about South Park? I think something else is going on in Kanye's life (maybe cuz that Amber chic is over him and he is realizing that if he doesn't get over himself he is gonna end up alone) that has him admitting to having hurt feelings. Maybe it doesn't matter. Maybe all that matters is that Ye is deciding to put his Ego on simma. I think his ego is a huge part of who he is and what he does, but I guess er'body has to grow up some time.

I'm in love with a gay fish!

What's In A Name?

"In Swahili, Kanye means "the only one." If Kanye West does nothing else, he knows how to make sure the world knows that he is indeed the 'only one' and he most certainly always does that by giving great interviews. Sometimes you read the articles with a screw face the entire time thinkin this dude is on some extra shizz and he needs to put that on simma, other times you just laugh the whole read cuz you can't believe his audacity. No matter what you think of Kanye, the truth is, he's like, totally gay....and I love it.

Kanye on how he got into making beats:
“First beat I did was in seventh grade, on my computer. I got into doing beats for the video games I used to try to make. My game was very sexual. The main character was, like, a giant penis. It was like Mario Brothers, but the ghosts were, like, vaginas. Mind you, I’m 12 years old, and this is stuff 30-year-olds are programming. You’d have to draw in and program every little step—it literally took me all night to do a step, ’cause the penis, y’know, had little feet and eyes.”

Kanye on being the voice of this generation:
“If not me, then who? Someone could be a better rapper, dance better. But culturally impacting? When you look back at these four and a half years, who’s the icon at the end of the day? Who broke down color barriers? What other black guy would a white person use as a fashion reference?”

On turning negatives into positives (ex. the word “gay”):
“Take the word gay—like, in hip-hop, that’s a negative thing, right? But in the past two, three years, all the gay people I’ve encountered have been, like, really, really, extremely dope. Y’know, I haven’t, like, gone to a gay bar, nor do I ever plan to. From a design standpoint, kids’ll say, ‘Dude, those pants are gay.’ But if it’s, like, good, good, good fashion-level, design-level stuff, where it’s on a higher level than the average commercial design stuff, it’s, like, gay people that do that. I think that should be said as a compliment. Like, ‘Dude, that’s so good it’s almost . . . gay.’”

Don't most artistic greats start off creating a vagina that chases a penis in video games?

Kanye, I Just Don't Like Da Mullet. That's All I Wuz Sayin!

Kanye's mad at me and er'body else who has been talkin bout him. I never said he wanted to do porn or anything and I haven't hacked into his accounts BUT I did say the nappy dug out mullet was not the move and I thought that he might be ill. But after reading his message, I've decided I'm going to let Kanye be great. It's not fun talkin bout the sensitive ones. Oh who am I kidding! Kanye, get over it!!! Who cares what people say bout you?! YOU are the one rockin afro mullets while performing for the first black president. YOU are the one debuting your specialty line of sneakers for Louie. But WE are the ones who have to love it and if we don't, we're gonna - maybe I should speak for myself here....I have to love it and if I don't, I'm gonna say some shit about it. Sorry you have to deal with hackers and bloggers and such....but even still....Kanye West's world doesn't seem so bad.

Is that a nappy dug out mullet? What's the matter boo? Are you ill? Somethin ain't right here. Call me. Seriously. This can't continue.

Kanye Hush....Please

See for the most part, I think Kanye West does the speak out of turn, speak out the side of his neck, and speak some real truth better than most and that is why I truly appreciate him. But then, er'now and then he goes and sez some real extra shit and somebody needs to just tell him to simma his ass down and really think bout what he's sayin.

In a press conference in New Zealand, Kanye said the following about Beyonce:

“Nobody really wants to recognize that Beyoncé is a f*cking living legend and that she is just as great, if not greater, than the artists that we had in the past…that she’s probably greater than Tina Turner.”

See...Ye done lost his mind. Yonce is DOPE and nobody can take that away from her BUT a living legend???? Greater than Tina Turner????? I think I just had a spasm. Beyonce has put a hurtin on this game something fierce but I'll be damned to all hell if she is ready to be regarded as a living legend. And you can bitch slap me to the moon and back before anybody can say she is greater than Tina Turner. I mean have you seen Tina recently? She is 69 years old and still sellin out arenas and rolling on the mutha fluffin river.

No Kanye, Tina Turner IS a living legend. I'mma give you a pass this time Ye cuz you 808in and Heartbreakin....but won't be too many more times, boo.

AND let us not forget that half that shit that Beyonce comes up with she done stole - imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. To see just a bit of evidence please click: Bitch stole my pony! and Something here looks very familiar. And Tina never said she wrote songs she ain't write. I'm not sayin, but I'm just sayin.

Below is Kanye's press conference should you feel like watchin.

The Gist: American Music Awards

So the AMAs were last night and I don't really have anything good to say. With the exception of Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Kanye the show was a total womp womp. I was switchin back and forth between episodes of Snapped that were way more entertaining.

Christina Aguilera opened the show and did a medley of 7 of her hits in 7 minutes. I normally appreciate Christina, but I think one great performance of one great song would have more than sufficed. It wasn't the worst, but my Audrina Eyes were on full blast.

Following that, the only things that I remember are as follows:

-I want the New Kids on the Block to put it in a seat and never get up again.

-Ne-Yo...I really wish he didn't annoy me so much...like I really wish he stayed in the studio. But he was good.

-That Taylor Swift chic sang that song right to that Jonas boy who broke up with her. How great would it have been if she actually moved while she sang?

- I love Pink. Hated her dress. Or maybe I just hated it on her.

- I hate The Jonas Brothers. Really hate them. Whatever they were singing sounded awful. Really awful. I'm so confused. Really confused.

- Mariah. Mkay. She clearly has achieved Icon status and surpassed every artist ever in history and she deserves all of it. However, when you are making your douchey lil husband take part in your stage show because he has nothing else better to do and that is the most entertaining part of the whole show - yes, the 2.2 seconds it took for him to walk you down a stair - I think you may want to look into retirement, boo. I've always thought Mariah was one of the best singers and worst performers in the world, and I don't think she should keep proving this as her career comes to an end. She should end on a glorious high note. Let us remember you from the old days. Like yeah, we already know that you can't dance, hell you can't even move while you sing except for when you flail your arms, switch the mic from hand to hand, and check your levels in your ear piece with your finger BUT at least back in the day your songs were good. Great, actually. The shit you've been singing lately.....yeah, just no Mimi.

- Leona Lewis really may just be the new Mariah.

- Coldplay was horrible. Was Chris Martin high?

- Could anybody understand what da hell the guy from The Fray was singing?

- Jordin Sparks gets on my nerves.

- I hate Miley Cyrus too. Again, I just don't get it.

- Rihanna looks fabulous just all the time HOWEVER, at some point that just won't be enough. Her performance sucked. I don't care what you say, that shit sucked. I would still slop her up wit a biscuit tho.

- Kimberly is my favorite Pussycat Doll. Did anyone else notice when Melody couldn't get her jacket off? That was funny.

- Beyonce. Actually, Sasha Fierce did the Single Ladies dance and was fabulous as per always. I stay entertained.

- Kanye gives good show. I don't know about him being Elvis nor should he want to be Elvis, but um, Kanye is definitely goin in the history books.

- Alicia Keys was the belle of the ball. She looked BEAUTIFUL! Her dress was gorgeous. And her performance with Queen Latifah and Opera diva Kathleen Battle was the best of the night.

That's all.

TGIMFF

Sleep is overrated. This is what I continue to tell myself....altho I seem to be experiencin serious Narco episodes....and if a bitch don't get some sleep soon (which won't be happenin no time in the next 10 hours) I might pass out somewhere and wake up lookin like Wino looked last night when she went to DJ at some pub. AMY!!! WHY?????

And I'm sure you all heard that Kanye got locked up yesterday and if you didn't, long story short he got pissed a Papo was takin his picture and Ye smashed the shit out of his camera. Like for real smashed that bitch into baby pieces. Well no worries. He's out. I'm sure he'll have to pay some cash to the Papo for a new camera and for emotional distress for being attacked and for being out of work cuz he no longer had a camera to get his Pap on with. It's fine. In case you want to see how it all went down, take a looksy.

Anyway, you bitches have a fabulous weekend. I'll check-in if I manage to get my mind right and F.U. is called to speak on it. Otherwise....Luh u, bye.

The Gist: The VMAs....Seriously?

Sigh....is it me, or is the award show dying? The BET Awards was as bootleg and wackadocious as it gets and now this shit. The 2008 VMAs were boring as all hell AND seriously, did MTV sign a "will do anything to get Britney back on TRL contract"???? I mean what da hell?!

First of all, they tell everyone Britney is opening the show. In truth, Jonah Hill opened the damn show. That bullshit skit they did wasn't funny at all AND Jonah did all the damn talking. Then all this drama - cameras following her from her dressing room and she comes out and she puts the microphone right in front of her face and she says some shit about the 25th anniversary of the VMAs. Is that it? Seriously? All that for that. Real fuckin great. Mean while, I'm wondering if they are gonna go all out for this bitch, the least somebody could do is get her a weave that doesn't look like they just snatched it off some Barbie dolls head and put some crimps in it. And seriously, I can appreciate a Britney just like anybody else but her video was not deserving of nan one of those fuckin awards and I think Katy Perry was India Aried.

Anyway....then Rihanna performs and truth be told she was the real show opener...altho...I mean, it was aiight. I didn't even realize she was singing until about the second verse. Already I'm switching over to watch Family Guy. They were showing the double episodes of when Stewie kills Lois. Hilarious!!!

So switching back and forth, I notice that the audience is real wack and that Russell Brand dude is pretty decent. I mean, if he didn't say anything else him telling everybody to vote for Barack was enough. But then when he said his country wouldn't trust Bush with some scissors....I definitely giggled on that one. So for that alone, I like this Brand dude.

Then the Jonas Brothers. Seriously? I don't get it. Like what do they do exactly? Get crunk on the tambourine?? I can't. And then just to fast forward to Jordan Sparks gettin bout it cuz of the comments being made about Promise Rings. She said "I just have one thing to say about promise rings. It's not bad to wear a promise ring. Because not everybody – guy or girl – wants to be a slut." Slow your roll American Idol. First of all, dude was joking. Secondly, just cuz you feel like you have to wear a ring to vow to yourself and the world that you won't be fuckin until you're married doesn't mean er'body else gotta be sluts. I mean, and really, it's all you hos that say you are virgins and aren't fuckin until you're married dat be the ones who are straight up takin that shit er'which way since you were like 14 (and that's prolly being generous). How u doin Britney?

Anyway...I think the best performance of the night was Pink's "So What". She looked hot and sounded hot and I'm lovin that song. I love me some Pink. She's dope.

I like that Lil Wayne looked like he was really enjoying his performance. He looked really happy to be there and I don't think it was the sizzurp....altho when he went to accept his award one of his peoples had the official 32 oz Styrofoam cup with a straw. Hmmmmm.

Rihanna looked EXTRA DOPE when she performed with T.I. By the way, I can't stand that you can have whatever you like song T.I. did first. That shit is so corny. But the song with Rih is what's up but only cuz of her. Her outfit was sick and those sunglasses are the bizness. I wanted her to stop trying to hold her lil jacket together. There should have been some taping of the boobies to the jacket if you were gonna have the jacket unzipped with nothing under it. Other than that, I could have stared at her all day.

I can't tell if I like Christina Aguilera's song. Her boobies still got milk in them tho. She looked great.

And I liked Kanye's performance. Kanye is really the ultimate entertainer. He definitely knows how to switch it up and keep it interesting. And he sounded pretty good too. Altho, what is up wit er'body tryna sing? I thought that died out with Ja Rule...no?

Anyway, another year, another womp womp.

Tune In Tonight: Kanye West Makes A Difference

Kanye West, the man who told the world that George Bush doesn't care about black people, the man who has made one of the best albums in the new millennium, the man who lives for fashion, and the man who may throw a temper tantrum from time to time, has joined forces with MTV to give back. “CHOOSE OR LOSE & KANYE WEST PRESENT: HOMECOMING” is the one hour special that takes us into the lives of three Iraq veterans that have recently returned home. Kanye West surprises these three vets not only by visiting them at their homes, listening to their stories, and thanking them for risking their lives (for no reason) BUT he, MTV and The Dr. Donda West Foundation also provides the unexpected by paying off debts, rent and tuitions. I love it.

And as many people may say, no, I don't think Kanye is doing this just to take attention away from his all-caps rants on his blog. I mean, he's Kanye. Do you think he really gives a shit? I highly doubt it.

Be sure to check it out!!!! Tonight, Monday, July 28th at 10pm on MTV.

Take a look at a teaser from tonight's show.

Shout out to one of my bestest friends, WGB, for putting this MTV special together and working her ass off to make this one of the best Choose or Loose MTV pieces ever! So proud of you...

New Muziq: Fonzworth Bentley

Mkay. The former Diddy umbrella holder Bentley has released his new video for his song "Everybody" which features Kanye West, Andre 3000 and SA-RA. They are collectively known as COLOURS or Cool Outrageous Lovers Of Unique Raw Style. So ummmmmmm, yeah. Well mkay. See....mkay. I'm tryna figure out what I think about this here video. I can say that I don't necessarily like the song. Even more so, Bentley sounds like he is talking and I kinda don't want to hear anything he has to say, unfortunately. Then Andre starts his verse and I, of course, love it. Not sure if it is because I LOVE me some Andre (altho I could do without the pirate patch he has just chillin on his head) or because his verse is hot. I think it is a lil of both. I do like Kanye's lil singin thing he does. It is only one line he sings but he's Ye and he's killin the one line. Altho I want him to know he is not a dancer. Like not at all. He's still pretty dope tho.

I do love the sophistication that Kanye, Andre and Bentley bring to the game. It is great to hear versions of hip-hop that have nothing to do with steppin on Jzs or callin girls "wet wet". I guess my overall consesus is that no, I'm not pickin this up at all. However, I do think it is pretty decent. I'm still not sure what Bentley's purpose is tho...workin on tryin to figure that out.

Kanye: Do What You Love

If there's anything my mom taught me [it] is to enjoy life. I don't do anything I don't love anymore... I loved the flashing lights vid so it didn't matter 2 me if someone one else didn't. While people chase money I pursue happiness. So many people talk about there investments or how much money they have but there's so many rich people who spend a lot of that trying 2 buy a piece of happiness. If there's anything my mom taught me is to enjoy life. I just recorded my first verse in the last 6 months 2 days ago at Bape's Studio in Japan. It felt good and I was inspired. I absolutely lost my mind (in a good way) on the new Glow in the Dark tour. The constant hours of creating helped me 2 keep from loosing my mind in a bad way. Chris Milk told me tragedy can produce great art and this is definitely true. I am a total mad man now, up till 3 am every night, trying 2 fight pain, board-um, and uncertainty with creativity. All that said, life is good..... good as finding the perfect fabric for a simple one button casual blazer with matching pants.

Random Ish...

So apparently, I'm the only one who enjoyed Janet's Rock Wit U video. I mean it wasn't the bestest ever but it was damn better than Feedback. But it seems not even Janet liked it and so her label called a crisis intervention and they are doing a re-shoot. I mean I loved the choreography and I liked that it looked like everyone was on E while she just continues to say strobe lights make everything sexier. Well now I can't wait to see how she plans to top that. - Perez

And clearly, I may not know good videos when I see them, but I'm going to put it out there and say I'm really feelin Kanye's new video for Homecoming featuring Chris Martin. I love that Chris Martin's body outline is the view through which we see stuff. Cool.

Sarah Jessica Parker rocks a jacket made out of Fozzie the Bear's fur. Wonka Wonka! - Go Fug Yourself

The Gist: The Grammy Awards

With all that was going on at the Grammys, you would think that it would have been one of the best Grammy nights ever.....but um, no, not so much. Part of the reason is that the Grammys have to recognize every genre....got country mofos up there singing songs about checkin his bitch for ticks. Like, really? After rollin around in the sticks you wanna check her for ticks? And then had the ticks lighting up the stage in the background! Then there seemed to be way too much talking and I mean, overall, the performances were good but I don't think any performance was GREAT.... I think I was just expecting something crazy, like some real memorable performances....having me entranced type performance....you know something along the lines of watching Jennifer Holliday and Jennifer Hudson shut it down forever singing And I Am Tellin You. Silly of me to have such high expectations...I guess.

Anyhoo......

Amy Winehouse won 5 well deserved Grammys. She performed via satellite from London and her performance was a hot ass mess. She is clearly still detoxing or something...like I truly believe she was sober I just think sumtin wasn't right. She was moving erratically and her singing was well, bad. But I most certainly appreciated her shouting out Blaaaaaake who is incarcerated and Ray-Ray. Amy is so hood. Gotta love her. Watch both her performance and her acceptance speech:

Amy Winehouse performs at '08 Grammys
by TheDlisted

Rihanna's hair was just FAB! I mean, she's just hot. And we know this. I was happy to see The Time performing. Got real amped about that. The Time proved that black really don't crack. They all look exactly the same. If Prince performed with them, then I would have been done. But it was Rih Rih and she did a lil medley and then did the side to side dance with them at the end. I was entertained but it was just aiight.

Alicia performed twice. Once with Frank Sinatra a la Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole. I was too distracted by the rooster thing she had going on with her hair....but I loved the dress and her face was flawless. When she performed No One, I believed her. I think it was one of her best performances of that song. And I love John Mayer. So overall, she was one of my faves of the night.

I enjoyed Kanye's lite brite performance. Wasn't spectacular but it was good. The tribute to his mom at the end was emotional. I love that when he won his grammy he made the people turn the music off so he could keep talkin. Yup, I likee Kanye.

Side note. What the fuck Cher?

Then there was Yonce and Tina. First of all, Tina looks AMAZING. Her body is off the chain. And no, she couldn't keep up with the dance steps, but I didn't care. For her age, she is still makin it do wut it do and I loved it. Now as for the duet action....I mean, it was good but the problem is that Yonce was holdin back because she didn't want to out-do the legend. So I respect that. But I just feel like if Yonce did Proud Mary by herself.....you feel me?

Anyway, I have nothing else to say. Congrats to those who were Grammy winners.

P.S. I am glad Janet and Mary J. boycotted the Grammys.....had Janet and Mary been allowed to perform, the show might have, just maybe, would have been what it should have been. I'm just sayin.

Random Ish

Lovin these pics from some spread Saleisha did. Love the hair, both of those dresses, and more importantly, her face looks hot to def. Fierce indeed!

Congrats to the new cast members of The Color Purple who made their debut last night. Lakisha Jones from American Idol, Bebe Winans, and Chaka Khan. Patti is just there to support...but how DOPE would it be if Patti just bust through sangin...You Told Harpo to Beat MEEEEEEEEEEEE and then just start kickin' off her shoes and beatin ass while takin everybody to church. You know what, let me call Lady O about this right now.

Yonce, Jay, and Ye were at the Nets vs. Sonics game last night. I have to say, as per usual, Yonce looks casually beautiforous....and why I know somebody who got those Louboutin boots for Christmas... otherwise I would have no idea that they were Louboutin.

I also love that Yonce is helping Kanye get thru the rough times. I mean playing Connect Four with him and making him laugh...way to go Yonce. I just want to know...where is Alexis? I haven't seen her not a once since his mom passed. I actually love them as a couple so I am hoping all is well and they are getting thru.
