Kanye West's mother, Dr. Donda West, has died at the age of 58. According to PEOPLE, Her publicist, Patricia Green, told BBC News she passed away "as the result of complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure," but gave no more details. West's spokesman said the family "asks for privacy during this time of grief."
Kanye and his mother were ree-diculously close and I cannot nor will I even try to imagine the pain that Kanye is feeling right now. I hope he takes solace in knowing that he was blessed to have a mother who supported him in everything he did from day one, made it her business to raise a successful, educated, and capable black man, and more than anything, she loved him and at the end of the day, I bet that was enough. The Good Life indeed.
