ANTM: And The Winner Is....

Teyona!!! However many weeks ago, when the new America's Next Top Model season premiered, I let you all know that I had no intention of watching...but I had to and I'm glad I did. This was best season in a long time. There were personalities worth despising and liking quite a bit. While the drama was a tad corny (nothing will ever top Eva, YaYa and Eva's best friend in the house that was jealous of her but I can't memba her name or the hot tub sex with Shandie) each of the girls actually had real model potential. The best part, is that my early faves made it to the top three: Aminat, Teyona, and Allison. Aminat is gorgeous. Of the three girls, you look at her and you think she has no competition, she should have this in the bag. She has er'thing required to be a model but she needs work. Her face looks the same in er'last picture. If Tyra don't teach you nothin, she teach you how to hit the fierce faces. When Aminat learns how to "smile with her eyes" she is going to be off the chain. I'm not worried bout her. Allison gets the award for most improved. She was the big eyed weirdo shy chic who figured out how to make all that work for her. She definitely has a future in modeling. I actually grew to like her alot. I'm happy for her. As for the winner, Teyona...I still see her and see a regula schemgula chic you see er'day on the street. She doesn't look like anything special...until she gets in hair and make-up and gets in front of that camera. Teyona knows how to take a damn good pic. She deserved this win. I'm just soooo happy that Celia didn't make it to the top three. That bitch is not cute and she looks like she is 35, not 25. However, she does know how to put an outfit together...I mean when your face don't work you gotta figure something out, you know? Lastly, I just want to point out that in the final judging panel, Tyra's baby hair was beyond poppin. Why must the baby hair be that serious, Tyra? This is prolly for real, for real, my last time watchin ANTM. I believe the next season is for pretty midgets. No thanks. It's been fun tho....

When BeBe Winans Is Wife Beatin....

Houston, we obviously have a problem. BeBe was arrested on domestic abuse charges after he put the smack down on his ex-wife. Seems they were fighting over their children's custody and it turned violent and ugly. Of all people, shouldn't BeBe know to just simma down, take a breath, walk away and call on the Lord? And speaking of all this absuse drama, did you guys catch Oprah's abuse special? I have to say, I love me some Tyra, but I really wanted her to shut up. Just because a boyfriend emotionally abused you, you are not an expert boo. And she made the show all about her. Anytime anybody said anything she turned it into a 10 minute rant about her. They didn't even get to one of the groups of kids skyping in because Tyra talked so damn much and I don't feel like she was helping. I do hope that there were people watching who took something away from the show and realized that love doesn't hurt. Stop da violence people!

Bowers is paying for the surgery. “[I feel] like I’m about to wake up,” says King - who lived in a homeless shelter in Maryland before trying out for the show. The 22-year-old hadn’t gone under the knife yet because she couldn’t afford the $20,000 to $35,000 price tag. “It’s hard. I try not to think about it because it is something I’m really passionate about,” she says. “I feel like I really was born in the wrong body, and it’s just the one thing that makes me feel uncomfortable.” King wouldn’t allow photos of herself as a male shown on the 11th season of ANTM, but reveals them for the first time on The Tyra Banks Show. Why was she hesitant about the pictures? “I look at it like yes, I’m the first transgender contestant, but okay, lets move past it now,” King explains. “I’m just a woman trying to compete just like everyone else.” I am happy for Isis! Tyra Does First Lady For Harpers Bazaar

For the September edition of Harpers Bazaar, Tyra channels Michelle Obama for a first lady presidential shoot. I think the shoot is smashing and I am choosing to look at it as if Tyra were the first lady and not as Tyra playing Michelle Obama. Michelle don't need nobody's Tyra to pretend to be her. If anything, they need to call Michelle and have her do a spread in HB cuz she is more than fabulous enough to pull it off....real hair and all. And speaking of hair, while I love the inset pages of the first lady shoot, Tyra's 12 head is real serious on that cover and it looks like the lacefront starts a lil too far back. She is doing smile #118 which is squint the right eye, arch the right eyebrow, pop the left eye and then spread the lips just enough to only show top row teeth....its called the "I'm so cheerful" smile and that distracts from the 12head. OK so memba when Tyra's Madame Tussauds wax figure was revealed in DC? Well they just unveiled Tyra's newest wax model at the Madame Tussauds in NYC. I have to say that NYC waxy Tyra looks like a tranny Barbie....and she looks just like Tyra! Even more so than DC waxy Tyra. NYC waxy Ty's forehead is poppin and they have the lacefront down. I think its pretty dope that Tyra has two waxys. The nice, cute one with a sensible bang, and subtle make-up and the fierce tranny version with the serious eyebrow arches, more than enough make-up and a serious weave. Tyra Wins Her First Emmy!

Congrats to Tyra for winning her Emmy for Best Talk Show (informative)! While I could have done without her beyond extra acceptance speech...you know her rant about telling people who tell you you can't do something to kiss your big, fat, jiggly, dimply, bootylicious, skinny, fat ass! When they showed her mother at the end of her speech, she looked like damn Tyra, you should have stopped at thanking Oprah for being your inspiration. Anyway, I'm really happy that Tyra has managed to build a truly successful empire. What I'm not happy about is is Trya's extra blonde lacefront and that dress. She looks like she's all one color. Me no likey at all.

Who would have ever thought we'd see the day when any world renowned fashion bible did an All Black Issue? The funny thing is, since every issue is an all white issue, when it's an all black issue it is time to break out the bubbly! In a reverse of the general pattern of fashion magazines, all the faces are black, and all the feature topics are related to black women in the arts and entertainment. Tyra's Plus Sized Plan

I hadn't planned on discussing America's Next Top Model since I stopped bloggin about this season after Marvita got kicked off. The show is becoming way too predictable blah blah but I did not predict that Whitney would win. And well, she is the first plus sized model to win the competition. Fine. Great. I think it is wonderful. But then I come across this.... Supposedly, Whitney never auditioned for the show. No big deal, as a few girls from passed seasons were approached in malls or whatever. However, someone sent FourFour an email with those pictures and explained the following: I debated on whether to share this given my source and you may have heard this already...The source is this wonderfully chatty boy in one of my classes...who says he went to high school with Whitney. The claim is that Whitney did not try out for top model but was approached on a plane by someone from the show. She was already doing modeling as a size 2 or 4 but because she was closer to a 4 she was a little too big for the show as a regular model. They told her that if she went and gained 10-20 pounds they would definitely put her on the show as "the plus-size model". She's about a 6 or 8 on the show. He even showed us this picture of her when she was smaller which was from a year ago. He also said that she was going to make the top 3. That's why I held out from saying anything for 3 weeks. I wasn't sure if anything was credible. But since the "top 3" thing came through... I mean I don't see why a model who is already a size 2 or 4 would purposely gain weight just to be on a show....unless she was told she would definitely win because it was time for a plus sized model to win -- I mean it has been 10 seasons already. I'm not sayin but I'm just sayin....in either case, Congrats to Whitney -- fake plus size or not. I think I might really be done with ANTM. 10 seasons are enough. Not to mention, I'm going to be all caught up in Tyra's new show, Stylista, that was just revealed at the CW upfronts. Damn you Tyra.

I Just Had To Look....

So I think I promised myself -- after I called that Saleisha would win America's Next Top Model -- that that would be my last season. Altho I did enjoy Assbergers thoroughly -- I mean, I know I'm not the only who never knew someone could make Assbergers look so hot -- I was done. But dammit to hell I just had to go and take a sneak peak at these Cycle 10 bitches.....and I already have favorites...damn you Tyra! Damn you and the CW! Already loving Atalya. She's cute! Claire...something about her I'm feeling. I purposely chose not to look at those leg warmers. Fatima.....skinny as shit, but has something Imanish bout her. The show is set to return on February 20th....clearly, I'll be watching.

BET Honors

The 2008 BET Honors was taped on January 12th at Washington, D.C.’s Warner Theatre, featuring key guests of honor Alicia Keys,Tyra Banks, Janice Bryant Howroyd, Richard Parsons, Maxine Waters, and Cornel West. The show was hosted by Cedric The Entertainer and will air on BET on February 22nd. Alicia is GORGEOUS...looking like royalty. Congrats AK! Tyra was beautiful and ostrich like. Congrats to you! Vivica looks like she's in an episode of Dynasty. I told Idris to trim that beard before he left....my juices was still marinatin in all that. I love Jill but um...Lamann Rucker (I hope he's her date) is hot. He was in her Why Did I Get Married Movie....Crown Royal on Ice! Is it me or does Kerry not look happy to be there? Mary is workin da hell out of another cover! The legs are off the chain! But am I the only one that hates the song she is singing in that iPod commercial?? Erykah is the only beauty who could actually look even more beautious with nappy knots. Well Tyra had a show that was dedicated to the va-jay-jay and said that you would be surprised to know how many women think that the vaginal canal and the urethra (where you pee from) is the same thing. Anyway, one of her guest doctors brought along a coochie puppet to explain to everyone all of the parts that make up the woman's special place. Fashion Rocks...

So I could have sworn that at a Fashion Rocks show there was supposed to be like Fashion, maybe some models here and there, some designers showin their new collections. This particular Fashion Rocks was really like a concert with people wearing hot designs....with the exception of Fergie and a few others. In any case, I most certainly enjoyed the concert and just wanted to say that while I hate Dumbsher for marrying that man, I LOVE him when he does the damn thing on stage. He and Mary J. SHUT IT DOWN. They sang James Brown, Aretha, and Stevie....need I say more. Jennifer Hudson looked FAB-U-FUCKIN-LUS. Like this was the bitch that was wearing an aluminum foil body suit only but three years ago. Jennifer Lopez just proved why the gays love her and Tyra is the only bitch who could pull off nothing but forehead and shimmy tassels on her sleeves. Alicia Keys was beautiful which nowadays is coming to be her standard. People are just steppin their game up on all levels right now and I'm definitely feelin it. For those of you who missed the show..... Fierce! But don't something tell you that J. Hud is the biggest bitch...like if you met her you might have to kick her in her back? Jenny's song sucks which is no surprise and her weave was so serious (ridiculously heavy) that the wind machine was only blowing the front pieces BUT bitch puts on a good show and clearly you can see how Jenny always takes it over the top. She's hot. Now I'm not feelin those ice skates AK is wearin BUT she is beautiful and she puts her foot/ice skate in it on all occasions. She's amazing and I love her. These two killed it. Did I mention that Mary was dancing?! Like she wasn't just doin her infamous Mary two step...no Mary was droppin it and doin a lil bit of what we So You Think You Can Dancers like to call...in step choreography. And you know Usher was killin it with the James Brown action and his voice was so serious....I really want to say that there is something real brilliant about that Dumb Ass but then I'm reminded....ah well, standing O most definitely deserved.
