Genarlow Wilson Is On His Way To Morehouse!

Don't you just love happy endings? Genarlow Wilson, the black young man with a fantastic academic and athletic future at his fingertips, saw all of that dissipate when he was imprisoned for 2 years after being convicted of aggravated child molestation for having oral sex with a 15-year-old girl at a 2003 New Year's Eve party. He was 17 at the time of the party and the girl said on numerous occasions that it was consensual. He was sentenced to serve a mandatory 10-year sentence with a sex offender designation.

Thanks to people not willing to see another black man's future destroyed over some bullshit, they fought for his freedom, and the Georgia Supreme Court overturned the verdict and released Genarlow. And now, thanks to the Tom Joyner Foundation, Genarlow can recognize his dream of becoming a college graduate by attending one of the most highly recognized and renowned historically black colleges in this country. Morehouse College.

Make us proud Genarlow!
